Debbie Reda was born in Argentina, in a very happy family as an only child, so she had plenty time to develop her imagination. Now she lives and work in Spain.

Self-taught painter, she has a degree in Art History and Curatorship Cultural Management. She worked very early in the Fashion Industry, drew professionally since she was 17 years old, sketching collections for major couturiers and working as an international artist during the last 6 years.

The color, the form and concepts like play, happiness, innocence, freedom, fantasy and adventure, are the pillars of her work, through which she challenges the way of viewing life while preserving the curiosity, surprise, and innocence of an idealized childhood.

The phenomenon of repetition, with the influence of de Art Brut, appears in her abstract work citing the pattern of repetitive exercises when one learned to draw as a kid.

In her Figurative works, that defines her cartoonish visual style as a Childlike Neo Pop Art or Infantilism, using the aesthetic conventions of cartoons, comics, and children's book illustrations. Her unique creations, brimming with humor and naivety, feature fantastical beings ranging from monsters to playful animals, all sporting friendly smiles.

Debbie's vibrant art, breaking away from traditional painting techniques, is noted for her little "monsters" called recently "The Boppis" who come to our planet to remarking adults the value of small details in life and remind them what brings happiness. Her work is characterized by representing the adventures and the naughtiness of these creatures and tends to idealize a happy childhood, in which the playful way of learning and observing is enhanced, but beyond the story behind her characters, she believes that the most important thing is the mood they aim to convey. "Cuqui" in Spanish, "cute" in English, or "Kawaii" in Japanese, transmits the idea of preserving innocence, living in that state of constant wonder, hope, and even simplicity of seeing things as if for the first time.

Debbie Reda an internationally renowned artist. Her work belongs to collections worldwide. In 2021 she has been selected to be part of the Noble Salon of the WWArt Fair in Shanghai, placing her among the 40 trending international artists of the moment.

Her works are held in the collections of the Deji Art Museum (China), the Iris Art Museum (China), the Norte Collection (Spain), the FMCMP Foundation (Spain), and the ACB Collection of Bárbara de Rueda (Spain).

From there she has not stopped and continued growing with multiple projects on going.
